How to use Hootsuite

What is Hootsuite?

HootSuite is the Social Media Dashboard!

… allows you to connect to multiple social

networks from one website.

Let’s get started!

Go to www.hootsuite.com

Click on the “sign up now”

This will appear on your screen

Click on the Basic Free Sign –up Now

Sign up will appear on your screen

Type in your email address

Your Full Name

Your password

Confirm your password

Choose your time zone

When done, click “Create an Account”

Wait for it to upload

This will appear on your screen

Go to your email to check Hootsuite notification

Let’s now connect Hootsuite to social networks

Go to your Hootsuite Dashboard

On your left are social networks available for hootsuite

Let’s Connect with Twitter

Make sure that you are logged in to your twitter account

Click on the tab “connect with twitter”

This will appear on your screen

Wait for a while for twitter to upload

This will appear on your screen

Type in your username

And your password

Then click on “Authorize app”

Wait for it to upload

This will appear on your screen

Click on “x” to continue

You will find the Twitter tab

Let’s Connect with Facebook

Make sure that your FB account is open

Click on “Add to Social Network”

Click on “Connect with Facebook” Tab

This will appear on your screen

Click on “Allow”

Wait for Facebook to load

This will appear on your screen

Hootsuite will ask if you want to connect with FB Pages

I will connect with “Singles 2010”

A check mark will appear

Click on “finished importing”

You will see the social networks you are connected

Click on “x”

social networks you are connected are shown on above tabs

Let’s now start making

messages

Type in your message at the space below

Here’s a sample

Then go to “Click to select profile”

Your different social network will appear

Select a social network that you like to send your message

Or click on “All”

The social networks I selected will appear here

To schedule the message, click on the calendar

Schedule your preferred time and date

Or you may send it now

The message you sent will appear in FB

And twitter
