Newvem Business Groups for New Relic

1

Introduction

Newvem’s New Relic plugin offers the capability of filtering the cost, risks and assets of specific AWS resources associated with your application.

Why is this important? New Relic is an Application Performance Monitoring service and Newvem is an Infrastructure Monitoring service. When combined, you get visibility to your full stack.

However, the Application stack is usually only a subset of your full infrastructure (i.e – WebApp’s) while Newvem monitors all of your AWS infrastructure.

With Newvem’s Business Groups feature you can filter your application environments to get granular visibility on costs and usage metrics. Business Groups are available in Newvem’s AWS Cost and Usage plugin within the New Relic Plugin Central.

This way you will be able to see in New Relic the performance of your Application from the infrastructure level up to the full stack.
