BCP in the public/private sector – Operational Continuity (OpCons) at the collegiate level deals with ensuring uninterrupted business operations. Continuity plans focus on people, work area recovery and alternate work arounds e.g., manual processes.

Disaster Recovery (DR)Addresses the recovery of technology including hardware, software, applications, networks, data centers etc… i.e., recovers the technical environment in situations impacting an organizations ability to do business or support its clients.
