WHAT IS DIGITAL RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Digital Rights and Responsibilities are the privileges and freedom extended to all digital technology users, and the behavioral expectations that come with them, also known as Digital citizenship

Below is a list digital rights and responsibilities in the digital sense:• Digital Rights:• Right to freedom of expression• Right to privacy• Right to credit for personal works• Right to digital access• Right to our identity

• Using the internet and web is a privilege• there are many important factors to understand when using the internet,

behavior is a huge factor because you have to be responsible with technology

TECHNOLOGY FACTS • There are 7 people in the world who hold the “key to the internet.” If in

the event of a major catastrophe the internet is shut down these key holders will together be able to reboot an integral part of the system.

• 20% of the world’s population, that is over 1 billion people, are internet users.

• The internet accrued 50 million users in just 5 years. It took TV 13 years to do that.

WHY IS DIGITAL R AND R IMPORTANT

• You have a wide range of Rights and Responsibility on the internet. Your Rights on the internet consist of you being able to do whatever you want to do whenever you want too. It is your Internet freedom

WHAT DOES DIGITAL R AND R MEAN TO ME

• In my opinion, I believe that Digital rights and Responsibilities are vital because without them we would not have the ways of communication and available knowledge

Students understand human, cultural, and societal issues related to technology and practice legal and ethical behavior.

• advocate and practice safe, legal, and responsible use of information and technology.

• exhibit a positive attitude toward using technology that supports collaboration, learning, and productivity.

• demonstrate personal responsibility for lifelong learning.• exhibit leadership for digital citizenship.

CONCLUSION • Digital citizens have the right to privacy, free speech, etc. Basic digital

rights must be addressed, discussed, and understood in the digital world
