This two-part online class will be held on September 19 and 26, 2013 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Students must attend both sessions. Tumblr is a microblogging platform popular with young adults that makes it easy to create and share content. Many libraries are finding it an effective platform for YA Blogs, library marketing, and more. During this two-part class, we will: Explore the basics of Tumblr and how it’s different from other blogging sites Learn the tips and tricks for a success Tumblr blog Show how to find and share Tumblr content appropriate for your audience Develop an effective social media plan combining unique content and effective content curation During this two part class, attendees will create individual Tumblr pages, customize it for their audience, and have the option to receive feedback.
