Technology and its Effects

• Watching movies in the third dimension might seem like space-age, but this technology is older then your grand father.

• According to Sensio, manufacturer of 3D home technology, “Stereoscopic photography or the technique of creating a third dimension was first invented in 1838”.

What is 3D technology?• 3D technology stands for three-dimensional

technology.• 3D technology is the illusion of depth, it is a visual

representation system that tries to create or reproduce moving objects in the third dimension.

Simply, whatever happens in 3D effect we will feel that it is a part of our life.

How image become 3D?• The process by which we turn an

image in 3D is known as stereoscopic photography.

• Stereoscopic photography is that in which two photographs taken from slightly different angles that appear three-dimensional when viewed together.

How we can see 3D images?• We can see 3D images by help of 3D

glasses which are specially manufactured for viewing 3D images. There are two types of 3D glasses which are

• Anaglyph 3D glasses• Polarized 3D glasses• Pulfrich 3D glasses

Anaglyph 3D Glasses• These glasses consist on two different

colors of lenses which are red/blue. These glasses are used in viewing 3D comics, 3D movies, 3D TV, 3D gaming and 3D art.

Polarized 3D Glasses• Another type of 3D glass which is used to view

3D image. These mostly used in 3D laser show, 3D ride simulators, 3D multimedia displays etc.

Pulfrich 3D Glasses• Pulfrich viewing technique is that images seen

through the clear lens reaches the brain slightly faster than images seen through the dark lens. With properly sequenced movement recorded on film or video, objects moving across the horizontal field of vision create the illusion of 3D. The pulfrich method of 3D is used in viewing TV, video and 3D computer display.

• In 3D movies, we wear 3D glasses for 3D display. Actually the screen displays two images for example red/blue. Each lens of glass allow to pass each image through it.

Another example of 3D image.

Uses of 3D technology• Now-a-day 3D technology is used in

many things and fields such as• Education• Medical• Architectures• Entertainment• Gaming

And in last, I'm going to show you an amazing 3D ball point

video.
