EA DoctrineSigning

What is it…

Just one artifact of many to support advancement of EA practices and maturity of EA profession

A set of principles and values for the practice and profession of EA

A unifying body of work which symbolizes consistency and relevancy

A living document This is vehicle to develop consistent behavior Standards of practice to guide EA practitioner while

balancing conflicts that arise in serving the enterprise, the public and the profession

Standards of practice to guide the EA profession You, the EA community own this document, not CAEAP

What it is not…

It’s not about CAEAP ! An oath or a set of ethics Not postulates to support the discipline Not definitions of EA A way to measure value that EA professionals

deliver A set of frameworks or methodologies A license to become an EA professional Does not establish legal accountability unto itself

Why now? Helps reduce Inconsistency and Ill-relevancy Helps strengthen the practice and profession of

EA Helps provide differentiation between EA and

other professions Helps change the way in which people think

about and value EA
