Local Position Measurement (LPM) is a patented electronic tracking system on high-frequency basis. LPM produces highly accurate position and speed data in static and dynamic conditions and is a valid tool for player tracking in soccer and ball team sportsin general. Positions of objects are measured up to one thousand times per second, tracked and displayed on a monitor in real time.

The LPM technology is based on a wireless communication system which consists of transponders and base stations.

Each athlete (e.g. football player, skater) wears a belt with a transponder located on the back that is connected to two antennas, one on top of each shoulder.
The base stations are positioned around the playing field (e.g. soccer field, ice rink)
The base stations receive the signals issued by the transponder

The data can be connected directly to the customer´s own analysis system
or
is processed and converted into computer animations of the playing field and the athlete
The measurement data can be synchronisedwith a video image.
Video data from other video systems can also be imported und analysed with the LPM system
