I was impressed by my father

It seems I always wanted to do sports. Even when I was a small boy I liked to watch sport competitions, the Olympic games. It was so touching and exciting to see Russian sportsmen gained victory and to listen to our national anthem. I wished I were the winner.

I was inspired by playing basketball of my father. His name is Dmitriy Victorovich Scshur. He is Honoured Master of Sports. He became brave, disciplined and patient. My dad wanted me to be healthy, strong and agile.

I was taken to the swimming pool when I was seven. I learned to swim using different styles of swimming and after a year I was invited to the water polo team. I cannot explain why, but I like this sport.

I have been doing this sport for several years. It’s my favourite sport because it’s team sport. I made true friends in our team.

Not everything was easy at the beginning. I felt tied and sometimes I was very exhausted with trainings. There were defeats and wins. However I train a lot and I am good at school.

My aim is to become great sportsman. And every day I do a step in this direction. I hope you’ll see me at the Olympic games.
