Thinking about temptations

Preview:

DESCRIPTION

A reflective meditation from the writings of Thomas A'Kempis how the reality of life with temptations is an opportunity to grow and not fail. Temptation is normal and a chance to grow-through as we choose to go-through the experiences.

Today I picked up Thomas’s book . . .

been reading a chapter titled “On Temptations“ On Temptations“

I’m now  putting down the book . . .

join me in my ruminations on the voices from his thoughts  . . .

Temptation and temptations are tests

to rise or fall they are not they are not

opportunities to opportunities to “stay just the same.”“stay just the same.”

When I am tempted I am “in company” with all humans . . .

to greatest born ...         John the Baptist

to the least-born ... Paul

to latest born ...those born as we reflect

Temptations will always be

part of life, their frequency

and intensity will vary …

so I will go I will go through them ...I can grow I can grow through them ...but, I will not I will not live or grow live or grow without them without them ...

while God may not be behind

them all, He will be with He will be with me in them allme in them all
