Joseph starts a new life without..His family!

• Sometimes we have to move on from family.

• Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

Hebrews 12:1

• Therefore seeing we also are surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily ensnare us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Galatians 1:15-16

• But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,

• To reveal His Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

• I.E. I did not lay the case before anyone!• Acts 13:46…lo I turn to Gentiles….

Can you imagine the fear Joseph has?

• Not knowing how things are going to work out

• Not knowing what lies ahead

• Not knowing if he will see his family again

• Being sold twice

That’s life!

1. Peaks and Valleys

2. Highs and Lows

3. Exaltations and Humiliations

4. Hailing and Nailing

During distress…We ask

If GodGod

is with me

why

is this happening?• Valleys, Lows, Humiliations, Nailings

Rewards for Suffering

• Matthew 5:11 Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

• Matthew 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets who were before you.

Remember God’s Promise

• 1 Chronicles 28:20 And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with you; He will not fail you, nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.
