Psalm 127:3

Behold, children

are a heritage

from the LORD,

the fruit of the

womb a reward.

How can parents

introduce their

children to Christ

in a way that will

grab and hold the

attention of their

children?

Parenting has

never been easy!

1. Parents are imperfect.

2. Children are imperfect.

3. The Enemy is targeting the

family for destruction.

Parenting has

never been easy!

But parenting has never been

more difficult than it is today!

1 John 5:19

We know that we are children of

God, and that the whole world

is under the control of the

evil one.

Reaching the

next generation…

Is a huge

challenge!

Reaching the

next generation

1. Grab their attention with

passion! (for God)

Matthew 22:37

Love the Lord your God with all

your heart and with all your soul

and with all your mind.

Matthew 6:33

But seek first his kingdom and his

righteousness.

If you are going

to reach the next

generation…

They MUST see

your passion for

God!

Reaching the

next generation

1. Grab their attention with

passion! (for God)

2. Capture their hearts with

love! (for them!)

Proverbs 4:23

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

John 13:34-35

A new command I give you: Love

one another. As I have loved

you, so you must love one

another. By this everyone will know

that you are my disciples, if you

love one another.

You want to

reach your kids?

Others of the

next gen?

Love on them!

Love them

unconditionally

and unfailingly!

Beware of

performance-

based love!

They just want to know, “Do

you love me?”

Reaching the

next generation

1. Grab their attention with

passion! (for God)

2. Capture their hearts with

love! (for them)

3. Saturate their minds with

truth! (God's truth)

Romans 12:2

Do not conform to the pattern of

this world, but be transformed by

the renewing of your mind.

John 17:17

Sanctify them by the truth; your

word is truth.

John 8:31b-32

If you hold to my teaching, you

are really my disciples. Then you

will know the truth, and the

truth will set you free.

Deuteronomy 6:6-7

And these words that I command

you today shall be on your heart.

You shall teach them diligently to

your children, and shall talk of

them when you sit in your house,

and when you walk by the way,

and when you lie down, and when

you rise.

Reaching the

next generation

1. Grab their attention with

passion! (for God)

2. Capture their hearts with

love! (for them)

3. Saturate their minds with

truth! (God's truth)

1. How passionate am I about

Jesus Christ? Is He merely and

add-on to my busy schedule? Or

is He truly the center of my life?

If my children were asked, what

would they say about my

relationship with Christ?

2. Do I truly love my children?

Do they feel my love? Do they

know I love them unconditionally?

Or do they believe they have to

earn my love?

3. What is it that I are doing to

saturate my children's minds with

God's Word? Do I ever talk with

them about what God is teaching

me in Scripture?

Do we have time together as a

family in God’s Word?
