Mongol

The Story of the Friendly Land of the East

In a far away place there was a happy plot of land named Mongol. And like every little boy and girl, Mongol grew up to be really big.

Mongol eventually grew so big that he was the size of China!

Because Mongol

was so large he

enabled the people

who lived on his land

to easily share.

They shared many things

such as money, toys and

cookies.

Most of the sharing was done by people called merchants

who travelled along a road called the Silk Road.

She was a plot of land that lived in the Middle East.

Aya

Mongol’s people really liked the ideas Aya’s people had to share. They gained religious knowledge, and new weaponry.

Buddhism

Christianity

But with all good

things, there is

always some bad…

With all the sharing going on people also shared sicknesses.

The leader of his land,

Chinggis Khan, led

great expeditions to

eventually take over

China and other

surrounding areas.

These expeditions eventually

made all the inhabitants of Mongol

to become friends.

Also Mongol’s

leaders allowed the

Chinese to keep their

traditions, often

Mongol’s people

would join in the

Chinese traditions

too.

Mongol’s

people were

also very

open to new

religions.

This

expanded

Mongol’s

knowledge

making him

an even

greater

empire!

The sharing we learned about

earlier also allowed for Chinese

culture to spread out, while

Mongol protected his people

from outside influence, from

places like the Middle East and

Western Europe.

Sometimes Mongol gets called mean and brutal

because his warriors were very skilled in their

fighting. But the Mongolian people did more good

than harm. As we have learned from Mongol’s story.
