SA TAMANG PANAHON(Waiting On God’s Timing)

PSALM 27:11-14

11 Teach me Your way, LORD; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, spouting malicious accusations.

PSALM 27:11-14

13 I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. 14 Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

The wisest thing we can do is to start

every dayby connecting with

Almighty God.

What does it mean to wait on the Lord?

(1) God uses delays to prepare us for His

plans.

(2) Waiting on God is an

active stillness.

(3) Waiting on God is

purposeful.

(4) God knows when we’re willing to

accept Hisanswers.

We are frequently admonished in

Scripture towait on the Lord.

PSALM 25:1-3

1 In you, Lord my God, I put my trust. 2 I trust in You; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. 3 No one who hopes in You will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause.

PSALM 37:1

1 Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong;

PSALM 37:7-9

7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. 8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil.

PSALM 37:34

34 Hope in the Lord and keep His way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it.

ISAIAH 64:4

4 Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for Him.

Why does God require that we wait?

(1) To receive His clear

direction

(2) To keep us in step with His timing

(3) To test our faith

(4) To strengthen our

faith

(5) To sift the motives for

our desires

How should we wait?

(1) Patiently.

PSALM 37:7

7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

(2) Quietly.

PSALM 62:1

1 Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him.

(3) Trustingly.

PSALM 37:7

7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

(4) Expectantly.

PSALM 27:13

13 I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

(5) Steadfastly and courageously.

PSALM 27:14

14 Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

(6) Standing on God’s

Word.

PSALM 103:5

5 I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.

CONCLUSION

ECCLESIASTES 3:11

11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

God makes all things beautiful in His time.
