I am 70 years young

Milestones of Life

1948 – Mom, Dad, my brother and I

1962 – I am 18 years old. I met Igor. We fell in love from the first sight. Igor just graduated from university and I graduated from high school.

6 months later we got married and left to Siberia.

1962-1965 Life in SiberiaWe promised my parents that I would go to university and get a

profession. We have fulfilled our promise. I applied and was accepted to the University of Foreign Languages. Igor worked as

an electrical engineer for a big company.

In 1965 Marina was born and we moved to the city of Gorki (Nijni Novgorod)

In 1965 I graduated from university and started working as a translator of foreign literature for automotive industry. I worked

for the Scientific Research Institute for 22 years.

Igor loved Marina very much, but he really wanted to have a son as well. And, in 1974 he got two beautiful boys – Dmitri and

Alexander. Marina helped us very much to raise the boys.

1987 – Our Silver Wedding – 25 years of happy married life.

We got a very precious gift for our silver wedding anniversary: two adorable grandsons – Mike and Jon. Every day we tried to

help Marina to raise these two amazing kids.

1990 – Marina and her family immigrated to Israel. We stayed in Gorki and missed them very much.

1991 – We decided to immigrate to Israel. We went back to school and found there a lot of new friends.

1993 – I graduated from a college in banking and insurance business and worked as a clerk for insurance company. Igor

graduated from school for electrical engineering and worked in a local branch of American engineering company.

After work and during weekends we were happy to spend time with Jon and Mike playing together, going to the beach, teaching them to ride a bike, to swim , to skate, to play table tennis and more.

1994 – Vacation in Eilat

1995 – Trip to Paris.

1997: We lost Igor – our beloved husband, father and grandfather.

In 1998 Dima and Jenya immigrated to Canada.In 1999 Marina, Mike and Jon immigrated to Canada.

All of them invited me to come to Canada too.In 2000 Dima sponsored me and I immigrated to Canada following them.

I went back to school again and work at the pharmacy. My co-workers and me.

In October 2005 I met David

May 2008. Our wedding with David.

August 2008. Dima, Jenya and her parents came to Ottawa to visit us.
