A Lovely Day

If they

planned a day

so lovely

That the sunrise

inspired a tear…

I’d await that day

so tensely…Count each

minute as it came

near

If there were an extraordinary day of beauty…A magical date, with charms…

I’d show up extra early

Without prodding or alarms

Then I’d awaken

hearing music

Serenading as I rose

Enjoying rhythmic beating

While gingerly choosing clothes

I’d see only love and affection In my loved ones’ shining eyesI’d smile at each word spoken

Whether praise …or news…or lies…

I’d savor every tasty morsel,Relish each delicious sip ,Of the crispy morning’s breakfast,And eagerly start the day’s first trip

As I traveled to my destination

I’d be amazed by all the sights

The brilliance and bright colors

The rich textures, tones and lights

Upon arriving I’d be touched

As the wind brushed my face

By the loving freshness

Of heaven’s hem’s embrace

Crisp clarity would be

noted

In that clean pure air

Of the simple little office

Especially prepared

for me there

Every minute of the schedule

Of this enchanted

day

Would be full Of

inspiration

Everything would seem to go my way

And if there Was a second that wasn’t going magnificently …I’d Just find a way to enjoy it Knowing great things soon would be…

As the dusk crept in slowly

Gratitude would swell my heart

For this precious life experience

That was golden from the start…

Because I’d chosen to sense each detail

In the most pleasing wayThat I could possibly imagine…

So I could have… a lovely day

There is a perfect reason For making that wise choiceThat’s delivered to me oftenAs I recall my mother’s voice

“LOVE each second

like it’s your lastSo regret

won’t plague your death…”

When she told me how to live life With her final breath…

If a bomb destroyed this place

As I fret about my life

Would I regret…… Complaining about

my troubles and my strife?

Wouldn’t I WISH to be exhausted

By the traffic and the bustle,

To be irked by rainy cloudbursts…

Even annoyed by a salesman’s hustle?

Wouldn’t we want a few

more minutes ….

To hold loved ones

in despair …

To tell them how we loved

them ,

how much we truly cared…?

Wouldn’t we beg

for one more chance…

To feel anything… at

all?

Even those rough and

sticky patches

That trip us up

and make us fall?

Who wouldn’t ask for more time?

Promising not to complain…

Whether life

Was filled with

pleasure …

Or full of

problems and

great pain

A Lovely Day

Synthia LaFontaine

I’d swear I’d stop the thinking

That causes one to believe That anything is awful ….

And avow to always perceive

You’d swear you’d stop the thinking That causes you to believeThat anything is awfulAnd avow to always perceive….

The beauty in

each person

The looks that are so

sweet

The truth that life

is way too short

Not something…

one can repeat

Oh if only every doctor would Call Every patient in…Tell them life is over,That tomorrow …Was the end

And let us walk out

vowingTo cherish

each moment

Before we go

Spreading love and

kindness broadly

Because of what we know

Oh, the call would come the next dayExplaining how he erredBut imagine how the world would change…If we had all felt that scared…?

Let’s wear those rosy glasses…

See everything …with love…

And when we think there is some bad Think how it would look from above

Then we’ll live

the finest life

It will always seem so grand

We’ll have

nothing to regret

When God… takes up…

…our hand

Why not decide each day is lovely? No matter what and Come what mayWhy not be grateful to be alive?
