What is LastPass?

LastPass is a free password management service which stores encrypted passwords in the cloud

We need to install first LastPass in order to use it

Open your internet browser

I will use Google Chrome

Go to google.com

Type in LastPass

Hit Enter Key

This will appear

Click here

You will be taken to the LastPass main page

Click on download

You will be taken into this page

Click here

LastPass installer will now be downloaded

Wait for the download to finish

Run the installer

LastPass will ask for your language

Click here

We will now create a new account, click here

Type in your email

Type in your master password

Pick a password that is memorable to you, It is best if you use

numbers and big and small letters for the password

This will show how strong is the master password

Confirm the master password

Type in the master password reminder

Check the tick box

Click here

This will appear after creating your account

Click here

Options will appear

Click here

This will appear

Click here

This will appear

We are now ready to use LastPass

To use LastPass click here

The email that you used for registration will be typed in automatically

Type in your master password

You can also use the screen keyboard for more safety by clicking here

Input your email and password by clicking on the letters and numbers on the on screen keyboard

Click on Log in after inputting email and password

After typing the master password click here

You will be taken into the vault

There are two methods to save passwords in Last Pass

First Method

Click on one of the websites below

I have clicked on yahoo.com

Click here

You will be taken to Yahoo mail website

Type in your email

Type in your password

Click on the asterisk

Save site will appear

Click on Save Site

This will appear

Click here

This will appear

Now the account username and password for the site is saved

Let us try to login to the yahoo mail using Last Pass

Go back to yahoo mail website

You will see that the user name and password is already filled up

You will also see an asterisk with a number next to it on the username and password

The username and password is automatically filled up because I

only saved one account username and password

The asterisk with a number 1 next to it means that I only saved one account username and password

for yahoo mail

To select another account username and password for the

site we need to repeat the saving process

After the saving process you will see that the asterisk have a number 2 sign next to it

This means that there are now 2 saved account username and

passwords for this site

Let us try to select one of those then login with Last Pass

Click here

There are now 2 account username to choose from

Click on one of them

Last Pass will auto fill up the username and password

Click on Sign In

To check the saved passwords at Last Pass Click here

You will see the saved username and the website it belongs to

Second Method of saving username and password

Go back to the your vault webpage

Click here

You will be taken into this site

Insert the information needed

Type in the information needed

Click on Save

To check if the account username and password was save go back to Vault

You will now see that the new account username and password was saved

To log in to the new website, just repeat the process of logging in

before

We can also share our passwords to people we trust

To do that select the account you want to share

Click here after

Go to the email you used for your Last Pass account

Find the email verification mail by Last Pass then click here

This will appear

Now redo the step before by clicking here

This will appear

Type in the email of the person you want to share the password with.

The person’s email must be registered with Last Pass in order

the password to be shared
