SMS Break ups
& why it should not occur.
Texts come out of the blue every day, and when they are sent you don’t know what the recipient is up to; possibly heading into a meeting, writing an exam, or even still sleeping.
It is a cop-out, trying to avoid confrontation. The person who is getting dumped will want to talk about it…they deserve that much, so just have the conversation.
FACT

73% said they would be annoyed if they were dumped that way
You have shared a lot of yourself and

Anything that is considered a relationship, deserves the courtesy of a face to face meeting if one is wanting to end it.
Even though we live in a technological era, some things are meant to be kept traditional.
Breaking up via text, leaves the dumpee with so many questions and incredible self-doubt.
Left with a broken heart, reading the text over and over again, questioning what they did wrong, and why it happened.
The in person conversation brings closure.
Yes, technology is wonderful. However, it has taken away the intimacy of relationships
If people use text messages or social media to break up, where will it end? Will apps become the future to break up with someone?
BREAKUPTEXT App – makes fun of the idea of breaking up via text, but some people have likely utilized this technology. However, people who have had this occur to them, would not find it funny.
Technology has too great a role in our personal relationships – many are started this way, and more and more end because of it.
If someone ever
shared their life
with you, no
matter how
long, they
deserve the
respect of
getting a break
up face to face
no matter how
difficult it can
be for both
parties.
Breaking up is never easy to do. However, the most basic human relationships deserve respect, even when it is over. No one should ever drag it out, it just makes things worse.
And when you do have to do the break up, face to face honesty is key, because if you lie it leaves the other person asking a million questions, which only prolongs the situation.
Lastly, time and distance is key both in the online world and in the real world. When a relationship ends, it will take time to get over everything that has happened. Don’t call or text, allow the other person to heal and move on with their life.
