LOOKING BACK AT YOUR PRELIMINARY TASK, WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU HAVE LEARNT IN THE PROGRESSION FROM IT TO THE FULL PRODUCT?

Evaluation

In looking back to my preliminary task I feel like I have learnt the importance of planning ahead and of research because by making sure you know the magazine conventions well I can make sure that I follow the ones that I feel are important and that match the style that I'm trying to achieve. It also allows me to know what type of quality I want to achieve in my product so that it is up to professional standard.

It also taught me the importance of audience of feedback as I didn’t really get any for my preliminary task which I feels showed in my work as it’s a lower quality to my final music magazine.I think my preliminary task also shows the importance to improving the work done first. A first draft is never going to perfect which means that by doing multiple drafts I would be slowly improving my work. In the preliminary I only have done one draft and in my opinion it shows.

My knowledge of magazines and techniques has increased greatly as I have had to research it and discover more about it so that I could complete my music magazine better. This means that I have learnt things like where to place things on a page. This has aided my final draft of my music magazine because it has allowed me to create the best piece of work that I could. My skill on different computer programmes has improved greatly as at first I was unable to use certain programmes meaning that my school magazine has wide open spaces and is not well designed as I struggled with the design layouts. Now I can successful craft a page to how I want it.
