• Finalize west elevation work at MLK garage entrance (Painting, Signage)

• Start constructing temporary barrier walls in OPC 1.• Middle of December is anticipated start for excavation of the OPC2 site

and start working on foundations/drill piers.

Upcoming Major Construction Activities

• Garage entrance and exit is now on MLK, old garage entrance for vehicles and pedestrians is closed.

• Waiting for city approval to install new crosswalk from temp ramp to main hospital.

• MLK will be the truck route for off-hauling the excavated dirt.• Interior work inside OPC1 to proceed during off hours.

Local Business UtilizationTurner attained a 44% Local business utilization far exceeding the 35% minimum goal as directed by CHO. This was a direct outcome of our extensive outreach efforts which resulted in a total of 247 contractors responding to our outreach efforts (123 submitted bids and 124 declined to submit a bid).

Of the 123 submitted bids:• 45 are Local firms (25 are from Oakland) • 12 are Minority owned firms • 6 are Women owned firms • 12 are Small business firms
