A good chance to engage potential participants.

It’s free.

Millions of users in one place.

Events feature allows to organize protests.

Questionable dedication.

May be disorganized.

Not designed for activism.

Difficult to contact large numbers of people at a time.

Not everyone

has an account.

CONS:

Spread your cause across various websites/platforms.

Merge with existing online groups.

Work together, get noticed.

Enlist the help of activists and organizations that exist outside of the Internet. Contact the media.

Don’t be annoying.

Refrain from sending messages to members of the group too often (more than

once every two months) unless there is an urgent

update that must be made.

Engage others.

Interaction and support motivates people and could ultimately increase their level devotion to the cause.

Getting involved.

Encourage others to participate both on- and offline.
