Our “Block of the Month” this year will really be a “round of the month” as we add rounds to our Medallion Quilts

Using an EZ Dresden or another method Dresden, create a 16 ½ inch center block

This is meant to use scraps so dig into those scrap bins! No need for complicated yardage calculations

2014: Focus On~

What inspires you?

2014: Focus On~

There are items on each table to take inspiration from. After looking at the card, what kind of block or quilt would you sketch out? Are you mostly looking at the lines, the angles, the colors, something else?

Not inspired by the items on the table? How about someone’s scarf, the ceiling, or something you took a picture of today on your phone?

Feel free to sketch/color on the scratch paper. When you’re happy with your block or quilt design, your “final draft” can go on the graph paper to be displayed.

Be sure to talk with your neighbors and see how they are interpreting the card or if they went in another direction.
