THERE'S ALWAYSMORE TOLEARN3 CONTEMPORARY INFLUENTIALSCIENTISTS
INTRO
Since we were kids, we learned aboutinfluential scientists like Einstein, Galileo, and Newton. But there are plenty of greatminds that still contribute to ourunderstanding of the world. It's just asimportant to understand their contributions, too!
#1Greene
Brian
Physicist Brian Greene is most
known for his research involving
string theory. He is also praised for
his ability to take complex ideas and
present them in a way that is
engaging to the general public. In
fact, he is the cofounder of the
World Science Festival, which aims
to cultivate a more scientifically
literate society.
#2Jane Goodall
Jane Goodall is a
primatologist and
anthropologist, and
considered to be the leading
expert on chimpanzees.
Her research challenged
longstanding beliefs about
apes, and by extension, us
humans.
Neil DeGrasse Tyson
Don't be fooled- just because NDT
has catapulted into the public eye
doesn't mean his academic work is
any less credible. A student of Carl
Sagan, he has contributed much to
our understanding of astrophysics.
Today, he is the director of the
American Museum of Natural
History's Hayden Planetarium.
