About us

• Formed in 2009

• Supported by the Scottish Government

• Purpose is to ensure that all sectors of

Scotland’s economy and civic society

contribute fully to achieving Scotland’s

ambitious climate change targets

What we do

Climate change and delivering an economy, based on securing sustainable energy sources, are twin challenges for Scotland’s environment, economy and people.

Government alone cannot hope to tackle these challenges. Scotland’s 2020 Climate Group has come from; a view that those key people in Scotland who are in a position to contribute or influence action should work together

The Group encourages greater collaboration and shared best practice between all sectors of Scottish society. 140 members across 100

organisations

Scotland has a target of 42% carbon reduction by 2020

Our structure – how we work

Main Group – including Project/Delivery Team, Chair, Vice Chair (x 5 people), Chairs of sub-groups
