In the final years of the Roman Republic, the Romans found themselves engulfed in a series of Civil Wars. These wars between ambitious Roman politicians and their armies resulted in the downfall of the Roman Republic and the transition to autocratic government. This PowerPoint on Roman history was created to accompany a lecture on the Roman Civil Wars from the war between Marius and Sulla to the Final War of the Roman Republic between Octavian Caesar and Marcus Antonius.
