How were the patriots able to achieve their independence?

Patriots’ advantages

• They were fighting for there freedom, they were on there land, they new all the short cuts and places to hide, and they also had good leadership.

The patriots disadvantages

• They didn't have well trained Soldiers, they didn’t have a lot of supplies, they didn’t have a big army most were militias, also they didn’t have much money.

The British advantages

• They were the wealthiest country in the world, they had the best army and navy, with professional soldiers'.

British Disadvantages

• They were far from home and had a difficult time getting supplies.

Valley Forge

– Washington during the winter they went to Valley Forge so they could resupply, train and ride out the winter. This was the worst time for Washington’s troops.

The battle of Lexington and Concord

• This was the first battle of the American Revolution and was known as the shot heard around the world.

• The patriots were fighting for there freedom and fighting on there own land witch they they new all the short cuts of the land.

• Toward the middle of the war we got help from other countries

• The British were far from home and had a hard time getting there supplies.

Answer

• We won the battle of Yorktown, from the help from the French. It was also the final victory and the last battle of the war. This battle was the biggest battle of the revolution and we would not of won without the help of the French and the long winter of training. Spain also helped us by giving us weapons.
