Here’s a course that will brighten up your training,
strengthen the bond between you and your pooch and can be a fun day for your entire family!

Course Details • Duration & Dates : A two day course from
14th -15th May 2011
• Timings: 10 am to 4 pm on both days
• Venue: At a farm on the outskirts of Bangalore
• Fees: The fees for the course are Rs. 3000/- per head for the entire weekend( inclusive of food and snacks for humans)
• Participants can also enroll for a day - Fees Rs. 1600 • Or for a half day (10 am to 1pm/ 1pm to 4pm) - Fees Rs. 900
• All dogs are welcome free of charge • Children under 10 are free
• Kids between 10-15 years Rs 1500 for the weekend

• Teach or strengthen existing basic obedience commands such as sit, down, paw…
• Build a bond with your dog through training

Throughout the course students will be put into teams and games will be played where the students and their dogs
will team up to win competitions based on skills they have mastered on the course.

Eligibility
• All dog lovers are welcome - with and without their dogs. You can either bring your own dog or a friend’s dog. Dogs must be at least six months old and physically fit. The dog must be up-to-date on its vaccinations and must not suffer from any genetic health problems, especially hip dysplasia.
• No female dogs in heat will be allowed on the course. This is to ensure that the male dogs are not distracted. There will be no bite work training or guard dog training taught on this course. Other than the topics listed in the brochure, no other individual training will be done with the dogs in this course.

Eligibility
• This course is designed to show you how to train a dog to a standard that you would not have thought possible but it is not a course that addresses either dog to dog aggression or dog to people aggression so your chosen dog MUST be fine around other dogs and people.
• Any dog that is aggressive towards other dogs or humans will not be allowed to participate. If a dog is found aggressive whilst on the course, the organisers have the right to ask it to leave (no refund will be given).

• ‘Canines Can Care’ is the only canine organisation of its kind in India. The organisation has pioneered not only the concept of Assistance Dogs in the country, but also the concept of Search and Rescue Dogs.
• Besides the above, “Canines Can Care” also conducts dog training courses for pet owners, offers behavioural advice for problem dogs, holds agility training sessions, runs courses on canine behaviour and is involved in pioneering many more dog related activities all over the country.

Meet your trainers … • Mrs. Shirin Merchant is an associate of world-renowned animal behaviourist and trainer John Rogerson and the youngest member of The Northern Centre for Animal Behaviour, England and The Pet Behaviour Institute, England. She has been working in the field of canine behaviour and training for over sixteen years in India and is responsible for pioneering canine behaviour counselling in India. She is the Founder Editor of the highly popular canine magazine, Woof! The Mag with a Wag!
• Mr. Junaid Merchant is an experienced obedience and agility trainer and
competitor with years of experience in the canine field. He is responsible for introducing the popular sport of Canine Agility in India.
• Together they have trained over three thousand dogs with breeds ranging from the feisty Pomeranian to the shy Samoyed. They are the only people in Maharashtra and probably India who are specialists in the field of canine
behaviour.
