Purposes:

• Combine as one to promote Legislation • Develop good practice and influence others• Address common problems and issues• Explore price reductions through economies of scale• Exchange information and provide support • Represent common views to a wider audience

• Code of Practice – to raise standards

Importantly:

• There are things that sometimes all members don’t agree on and they agree to disagree

• Some subjects are not talked about and not expected to be talked about.

• Sustained by Dogs Trust, WSPA, Sarah Fisher and Anthony Head, the coalition includes 9 organizations and it is still open.

• Set up in 2010, its goal is to help local organizations work together as One Voice

• Since March 2011, we have been working together on the legislative project for stray dogs:

– lobby

– amendments on legislation

– press conferences
