The Protectors

The series was started in 1971 and ended in 1973. Each episode was about a half-hour long and told the story of a group of private eyes for hire. They were Harry Rule (Robert Vaughn) the Contessa di Contini (Nyree Dawn Porter) and Paul Buchet(Tony Anholt). Rule was an American living in London. The Contessa was English who lives in Italy and Buchet was French. It was produced by Gerry Anderson and Reg Hill. (Thunderbirds, UFO, Space: 1999) Other characters were Rule's housekeeper Suki and the Contessa's chauffer Chino.
