45%! This is the relative poverty of senior households over 65 years old and the highest among OECD countries. Yet only 16.8% of whole welfare budget is used for the elderly. Why this issue is taken today is to think about the elderly problem. Pension and insurance system is getting better than before, but it is too much lack at the reality facing aging society. Why are the elderly so poor in developed country like Korea? Why are still there the poor elderly who are not supported enough? Will you think again about this problem when you are back home? And please also think if there is anything you can do for them and move in action.
