Where We Are Going

1. The Power of Vision – Why each of us

have to be invested in visioneering.

2. Defining & Communicating Vision –

Where it originates and how we each

cast vision effectively.

3. Making Vision Stick – Driving vision

through your part of the ministry. How

we get other people to buy in.

I Love LeadershipHistory is the story of leadership

I Love Good Leadership“If you think you are a leader and no one is following

you, you are only taking a walk.”

Leadership: The ability to inspire and guide others toward building

and achieving a shared visionSource: Board Fundamentals, Board Source

Got vision? An essential responsibility for every leader. We move people and inspire them by casting a great vision of what could be.

In your case: Delivering inspiring and highly successful spiritual ministry to

boys and girls in your area.

Would you call yourself a Visionary?

I find that passion is a good

substitute for the word vision.

Not everyone that has a

passion burning in his or her

hearts is classified as a

visionary. Some of God’s

choicest visionaries are very

quiet and persistent people.

Why Not the Moon?

The Power of Vision

“Where there is no vision, the people perish. But he that keeps the law, happy is he.” – Proverbs 29:18

Vision in the BibleFind a biblical character that

displayed great vision.

1. Who is one your favorites?

2. How did vision play such a

big role in his/her ministry?

3. What would have happened

if/when the vision was lost?

The Vision of Moses

” The LORD said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey. And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. 10 So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my

people the Israelites out of Egypt.” - Exodus 3:7,8

Great summary of his life

“Moses, spent his first forty years thinking he was somebody. He spent his second forty years learning he was a nobody. He spent his third forty years discovering what God can do with a nobody.” D.L. Moody

The Engine of Vision

"There is no more powerful engine driving an organization toward excellence and long-range success than an attractive, worthwhile, achievable vision for the future, widely shared.” Burt Nanus, “Visionary Leadership” p.3

Couple of Great Definitions

“A picture of the future that produces passion in people.” -Bill Hybels

“Vision is a clear picture of what could be, fueled by the conviction that it should be. “ -Andy Stanley

Are we satisfied with our ministry? If we always do what we always did, we will

always get what we always got.

Our Glorious Past Can Sink Us

We all have our life cycles

Or what is better called the “dip”

What We Should Fear

My greatest fear is becoming irrelevant.

Irrelevancy is a bigger risk than inefficiency.

Modern Visionaries of Faith

We leaders must always carry people to better “B’s”
