Objective

Promoting the Multi-Stakeholder model of Internet Governance and its values (Bottom-Up policy development, Equal Footing, Openness, Inclusivity & Equal Opportunity) in the main East Asia Universities.

Partners & Target Audience● PARTNERS: Develop partnerships with the following universities in East Asia:

○ Tsinghua University (CHINA)○ Osaka University (JAPAN)○ Seoul University (KOREA)○ AERU (Association of East Asian Research Universities)

● TARGET AUDIENCE:○ Deans and Faculty specialized in the area of information technology ○ Communication Departments @ East Asia Universities○ Law Schools @ East Asia Universities○ Engineering Departments @ East Asia Universities

The Plan: Preparation Phase (1)Month 1:

Establish partnerships & build network.

Prepare & distribute surveys

Month 2:

Launch ChangeforExchange.edu website for interaction / exchange

The Plan: Active Phase (2)

Month 3: Visit Centers and do CGI. Br Model Promotion Roadshow

Month 6: Change by Exchange Academy Launch- key academic actors will travel to Brazil to engage with CGI.Br leaders and Academic community in Brazil

Month 7: Call for Proposals for the Symposium "Change by Exchange" (rules and prize) [50% of budget]

The Plan: Harvesting Phase (3)Month 10: CGI-East Asia Internet Governance Symposium with Remote Participation available

Month 11: East Asia Academic Declaration on Multi-Stakeholder Model (post-symposium) and press conference

Month 12: Publication of Report to CGI with expert conclusions / recommendations for further steps and possible replication, to involve other actors.
