Relation with other ongoing activities of MoHFW

The NeHA (National eHealth Authority) of India is being set up to monitor all eHealth activities and the NHP will be proposed to be the Secretariat for the same.

The MMP (Health) proposes a Citizen’s Portal that can be built upon the NHP which will form its informational base.

MoHFW has become a country member of IHTSDO that develops and distributes the SNOMED-CT medical vocabulary standards. It requires a NRC for local adoption and translation. NeHA / NHP can become the Indian NRC for SNOMED-CT.

NHM has an ambitious National Helpline program of 104 that has been so far adopted by only 7 states. NHP can coordinate to make it a central helpdesk that will appropriately interact with and route to the relevant states for the required services.
