WHAT IS ANESTHESIA?

Anesthesia is a medicine

for the loss of feeling in all

or any part of the body

either with or without loss

of consciousness

TYPES OF ANESTHESIA

There are three types of anesthesia as

follows:

General Anesthesia

Regional Anesthesia

Local Anesthesia

GENERAL ANESTHESIA?

In general anesthesia, the person is

unconscious and has no awareness or

other sensations. There are a number of

general anesthetic drugs – some are

gases or vapors inhaled through a

breathing mask or tubes and others are

medications introduced through a vein

REGIONAL ANESTHESIA?

In regional anesthesia, anesthesiologist

makes an injection near a cluster of

nerves to numb the area of your body

part that requires surgery. There are

several kinds of regional anesthesia, the

two most common are spinal anesthesia

and epidural anesthesia

LOCAL ANESTHESIA?

In local anesthesia, the anesthetic

drug is usually injected into the

tissue to numb the specific

location of the body requiring

minor surgery
