TED-ED talk by Marc Koska

What made him inspired to work towards this goal of his?“The alarm bells first rang back in 1984.The article predicted – accurately, as it turned out - that HIV would spread via unsafe injections like a bush fire. Appalled at the prospect of such an avoidable catastrophe, I decided there and then to try and do something about it.”

-Marc Koska

What was he trying to achieve?Stop the re-use of syringes and to save

lives by reducing blood-borne infections being spread through unsafe injections.

What aspect of the social entrepreneur did you find most inspiring? The social entrepreneur did not hesitate to choose to stop the infections caused by the unsafe injections and chose to step out of his comfort zone where he could have chosen a more stable job. This shows his determination and commitment to his cause.

Would you leave familiar and comfortable surroundings to help others?Yes. It is important to help others in times of need should one be capable of doing so.
