•  Medicare pays for about 80 percent of the broken bones that occur due to osteoporosis, making it one of the top 10 illnesses of highest cost to the Medicare system

•  Approximately 10,000 Americans turn 65 every day; by 2030 1 in 5 Americans will be over 65
