What is the Endocrine system

The body system that consists of glands that secrete hormones directly into the blood stream. The endocrine glands include the adrenal glands, parathyroid glands, pancreas, pituitary glands, testes, ovaries , thymus gland, and thyroid gland.

PancreasThe pancreas is located in the stomach. It’s the only organ that has the endocrine and exocrine system function. A large gland behind the stomach that secretes digestive enzymes into the duodenum. Embedded in the pancreas are the islets of Langerhan.

Cushing Syndrome

CUSHING SYNDROME

A metabolic disorder caused by overproduction of corticosteroid hormones by the adrenal cortex and often involving obesity and high.

EXOPHTHALMOS

CONDITION IN WHICH THE EYEBALLS PROTRUDE, SUCH AS IN GRAVES’ DISEASE. THIS IS GENERALLYCAUSED BY AN OVERPRPODUCTION OF THYROID HORMONES.
