Introduction
Many countries are working towards the adoption of electronic medical records for improving healthcare (Terry, 2012).
Healthcare is plagued with stretched budgets (Vmware, 2013).
Global GDP spending on healthcare close to 8% in some countries in the last decade (OECD, 2011).
mHealth predicted to be worth $26 billion by 2017 with healthcare providers and patients embracing mobile devices (Jahns, 2013).

Aim and Objectives
The aim of the research is to critically evaluate the challenges to cloud computing and BYOD in the U.A.E healthcare industry and propose solutions to these challenges. The objectives of the research include:
1. How can cloud computing and BYOD benefit healthcare.
2. Investigate the challenges raised by new technologies of BYOD and cloud computing.
3. Propose solutions to identified challenges based on the research and literature.

Conclusion
The main challenges of management in healthcare are: Costs, security, integration, diversity of applications and
complexity.
Cloud computing can help address the cost issue but suffers from security concerns, lack of regulations, awareness and standardization.
BYOD needs more awareness and also very much hindered by security concerns and additional costs of support for security software.
Greater collaboration between the stakeholders in the industry can go a long way in helping reduce challenges especially with cloud computing.
Limitations and Future Guidelines
Limitations: Recent implementation of EMR/HIS
The research also limited to the UAE
Research outcomes may be biased towards developed countries.
Laws preventing use of certain technologies
Future Guidelines: Future research for investigation of sources of breaches for
healthcare networks in order to help mitigate risks.
