AccessMedicine App
Installing the Mobile App & Setting Up Your User Account
• The first 11 slides demonstrate how to set up a My Access account. If you already have a My Access account set up, proceed to slide 12.
Go to the MCW Libraries website:
mcw.edu/mcwlibraries.htm
Select All E-Resources
Then tap the “AccessMedicine” link on the alphabetical list.
If you are working from off-campus, you will be prompted to log on to the proxy server, using your MCW username and
password. (If you are on campus, you will skip this step.)
You have entered the AccessMedicine website. Tap “Medical College of Wisconsin” in the gray dropdown
box at the top of the page.
Tap “Login or Create a Free MyAccess Account.
Next, tap “Don’t have a MyAccess account?”
The window should open to reveal “Create a MyAccess account.” Fill in all of the required information, use
your MCW email address.
When the registration form is complete, a welcome message should appear with your name in it.

Open the App Store
Type “accessmedicine” into the search box & tap search.
Find the AccessMedicine app.
Tap the “Get” option next to AccessMedicine, and then tap the green “Install.”
If prompted, enter your Apple ID password.
Tap “Open” to set up the AccessMedicine app on your mobile device.
Select whether or not you would like to receive notifications from AccessMedicine.
Tap “Sign In” and enter the account information you just created.
AccessMedicine will now begin loading the content into the app. Once it is finished downloading the content,
you will be taken into the app
Welcome to AccessMedicine! Tap the three horizontal bars on the top-left side of the page to go to the
“About” page.
On the About page, you can select to Update Content in this app.
You have completed the installation for this app!
