• For Rotary, sustainability means providing long-term solutions to community needs that the beneficiaries can maintain after grant funding ends.

• For example, in basic education & literacy, projects focus on ensuring children receive a better education, not providing schools with things that may or may not support the existing teaching methodology.

• Sometimes equipment is what is needed! In those cases, district grants are the answer.
