The Michael and Cecilia Foundation (MCF) has spearheaded numerous humanitarian initiatives for nearly a decade, working to improve Nigerians’ quality of life in several key areas. In addition to focusing on food security, public health, elder care, and vocational rehabilitation, the foundation has launched an extensive project in the academic sector. Representing the Ibrus’ longstanding commitment to education, the Michael and Cecilia Ibru University (MCIU) currently serves more than 100 students and recently garnered an award of excellence from the National Association of South-South Students (NASS).
Upon its completion, MCIU will provide both
education and research opportunities in
the fields of engineering, law, social
sciences, humanities, natural and applied
sciences, and management. These broad
areas of study will encompass a wide
variety of academic departments,
including business administration, computer
science, biochemistry, psychology, and
mass communication.
The university will also include a spacious library offering a vast selection of books and academic journals, an e-library, reading rooms, and staff offices. Additionally, the university campus will feature multiple lecture rooms, conference space, and a biology laboratory. Students will have the opportunity to live in close proximity to campus in both male and female residence halls, while a student center, recreation facilities, and a cafeteria will offer a number of additional amenities.
