TODOROV NARRATIVE
THEORY
Stages
1. A state of equilibrium (All is as it should be.) 2. A disruption of that order by an event. 3. A recognition that the disorder has occurred. 4. An attempt to repair the damage of the disruption. 5. A return or restoration of a NEW equilibrium
There are five stages the narrative can progress through:
My plot 1. Ben and Mike are driving to find somewhere to stop as they are lost. 2. As they begin to walk through the forest, they begin to find themselves
increasingly isolated from further human contact and appear to be lost. 3. Further on through their journey, they encounter a figure that appears to
be stalking them. 4. As they notice this mysterious being is hunting them down, they begin to
frantically run away and out of the forest to safety. 5. However, during their escape, Mike appears to stumble and is left lying
unconscious on the ground, whereby the attacker notices him and closes in.
