Last year we drove 21,047 km .

My car travels 9.3 km on 1 litre of fuel.

That’s 6.065 tonnes of CO2 emissions or 2.02 tonnes per capita

Year 6 trip to chiang mai

A flight to chiang mai per person is 0.4 tonnes of CO2.

But there a around 52 people year 6

In total that is 20.8 tonnes of CO2 .

The ice arena in BIS An ice skating facility consumes a great deal of electrical energy during its normal operation. A typical community arena can consume between 600,000 and 2,000,000 kWh of electricity per year depending on the location, facility construction and operating profile.

So thats between 336 tonnes and 1,120 tones of CO2.

How can we use less energy?

Make sure if you go out of a room turn of the lights

Don’t leave tap running because it maybe can use your water pump for a while

Maybe year 6 should camp somewhere nearby as I said on the other slide that is 10 flights to Australia it poluttes the air a causes global warming.

Why should we try to use less energy?

Because it can save the environment

Stop pollution lots of people especially in China get sick from pollution

It makes air filled with smoke

It can save trees from dying and maybe stop people getting sick

And travel less because the CO2 polutes the air and gets people as i said
