New Britain High School was founded in 1850 and has grown to be known as one of the largest high schools in the state in holds about 2,200 students

A product of New Britain High is former NFl Player Tebucky Jones who now coaches the football team here

Jones won a super bowl with the New England Patriots in 2001 in doing that he was awarded this golden football which is awarded to the high school who produced the participating player

Another product of New Britain High School is the New Britain mayor Erin Stewart who was 26 when she was first elected in 2013 making her the youngest mayor our city has ever had.

In the early 2000’s New Britain football was arguably the best in the state beating 2 previously unbeaten teams on their way to state championships
