Things You Need To Know Before You Get A Tattoo

• A tattoo is a permanent thing, so getting something that has meaning is always important.

• You can remove a tattoo, but it is more painful to remove then to get a tattoo.

• Tattoos hurt more in cretin place, such as ribs, spin, under arms, wrist, feet, and elbows ect.

Things you need to know before you get a tattoo part 2

• Tattoos do fade in the sun, so maybe pick a place where sun doesn’t hit it as much.

• Always pick a tattoo parlor that you have checked out and know is a very sterile environment. If they’re not sterile you can get very serious infections and diseases.

• Some tattoos are better to get in different seasons, such as if you get on your foot in the winter, your not suppose to cover a tattoo until it heals so summer would be a better time to get it for example.

• Remove the bandage carefully after 30 min - 3 hours. If bandage tries to stick, moisten it and remove gently.

• Once exposed, wash thoroughly but gently, using only your hand and a good anti-bacterial soap such as Dial liquid. (There are many brands, just be sure it is anti-bacterial, clear and unscented if available.)

• Do not re-bandage Tattoo! Depending on the nature of your job, it may be necessary to wear clothing that will serve as a loose fitting bandage, but do not keep Tattoo covered from fresh air.

• For the first 10 days or so, apply a small amount of A&D ointment, triple antibiotic, or Aquaphor several times a day. Use sparingly and rub it in like you would hand lotion, then blot off any excess with a tissue.

• Never rub, scratch, or pick at Tattoo. If a scab forms, let it fall off naturally, never pick at it!

Tattoo After Care

After Care Part 2• Do not expose Tattoo to direct sunlight or tanning beds for

at least 2 weeks. After that, use at least SPF 15 or higher, or keep Tattoo covered.

• Do not swim, soak in bathtub or in sauna for at least 2 weeks. The sun, saltwater, and chlorine act as a bleach and the result  will be a faded or ruined tattoo.

• Be sure that any clothes that touches your tattoo are clean and soft.

• Do not wear pantyhose over your tattoo for at least two weeks.

• Do not shave over your tattoo for one month. • Healing time is usually one to two weeks, however this may

vary. • To keep tattoo bright apply quality lotion from time to time. • The tattoo is your responsibility after you leave the studio.
