The species name for this organism origianted from the fact that there were a lot of these found in the United States, however the US ships carried these organisms to other parts of the world and now they are found all over the world but almost non existent in the US.

David Saltzberg is a professor of Physics and Astronomy at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Saltzberg earned a bachelor's degree in physics in 1989 from Princeton University and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Chicago in 1994. From 1995-97 he worked at CERN in Switzerland.

His research interests include high-energy collider physics and the radio detection of cosmic neutrinos.

Now, however he does something very different. What does he do?

He is the technical director of The Big Bang Theory. He writes the formulae and equations on the whiteboards on the sets.
