MY FAVOURITE INVENTION IS… …the

INTERNET

I think that it is one of the most important inventions in history!!!

It was started in 1968 by the US government, but at first it was used mainly by scientists.

The Internet is a network of millions of computers around the world, connected by phone lines, satellite or cable.

When you visit a website looking for information, some words on the page may be underlined, showing that there is more information about the subject in other document. If you click on one of these words, the Web automatically connects your computer to a new document or web site, even if this is stored thousands of km away

The main use of the Internet is to find information- for your schoolwork or job, or just to find more about your hobbies, sports and other things.

You can use the Internet to read newspapers and magazines…

… to play games…

… plan your holidays…

…or buy things from your favourite online-shops.

You can also chat with people and make new friends.

You can use the Internet to take part in international projects, contests and online video conferences with students from other countries

Here you can see students of our form communicate with our peers from India online thanks to the international project Face-to-Faith

I think that the Internet is very useful and important invention that has changed the world. It helps us find information in short time. So, It is very comfortable. All in all, this is my favourite invention.
