The subject guideYEAR 6 Discover the understanding for the formal qualities when learning “practice makes perfect;” as the true essence of exploring new techniques and skills. We encourage Abstract art, fantasy and reality as ever evolving views, lateral thinking and a dynamic approach. Including this is the changes through our own perception creating imaginative multi-media art and design work. Please refer to the Uptown Secondary blog.

YEAR 10Pop art and culture, to the current times and contemporary practices that contribute to health, environment, science and technology, religion and political policies in society today. Students will investigate the traditions and inventions of communicating the power of text, and how text has transformed through time. We look deeper into the art form of text, and its aesthetics, trends and how text can be interpreted through the wider community using design media as a platform.
