Universal design refers to

broad-spectrum ideas meant to produce buildings, products and environments that are inherently

accessible to both people without disabilities and people

with disabilities.

The term "universal

design" was coined by the architect

“Ronald L. Mace” to describe the concept of designing all

products and the built environment to be aesthetic

and usable to the greatest extent possible by everyone,

regardless of their age, ability, or status in life.

1. Universal Packaging System

Designer: Patrick Sung

It seems a box is always too big or small so designer “Patrick Sung”

came up with flat sheets of recyclable corrugated cardboard called the Universal Packaging System or

UPACKS. The patterns make it easy to fold and

conform to almost any shape while maintaining structural rigidity and

protecting the contents. Love the idea of saving on packaging

but will this actually work? I suspect each sheet would have to be

sufficiently padded; not too thick, not too thin, but just right

Designer: Patrick Sung

Patrick Sung has designed Universal Packaging System (UPACKS), a conceptual packaging system that forms to

whatever it is that you’re shipping.

Although it bends around your package, it is designed to be sturdy and strong. The idea is that no one box fits all. Often times, packaging is wasted to fill and pad empty space in

boxes.

Society has an obligation to care for all members of

society have a normal life and be a part of the community and the society have equal parity.

The Universal design concepts can be realized. If

support the building construction at various

levels. Pay attention and realize that we must take care

of all members of society equally.

How to support

designers and manufacturers should be planned in detail,

which requires special skills to create and design a

comprehensive public to everyone.

How to support

a service to help suggestions. Critical to

improve consistency and ease of use as well.
