•NEW NUTRITION LABELS ON THE WAY STARTING IN 2016 . NEW LABELS REQUIRED BY JULY 2019.• The new label helps you limit added sugar. • It will also help you find foods with more vitamin D and
potassium.• Always look at the serving size and serving per container.• Some packages that you would normally eat one sitting may
have two or more servings . • The new label helps by listing nutrition per container in more
of these cases.• Some servings sizes are also increased on the new lables.
• Look at the following examples original and new labels.
• Eating one serving you 1 gm saturated fat ( 5% daily value ) which is now • however eating the whole package gives you servings; to the
total 8 gm saturated fat ( 40% daily value)which is high.•USE THE PERCENT DAILY VALUE AS A QUICK
